he Nervos CK5 Goldshell miner is an impressive miner with little information to go on with. Goldshell is the manufacturer behind this unit and does not indicate much on it. From our research, we can only find the miner in one mining online shop.
There’s no indication on the Goldshell’s product page on the miner. It seems that the miner is sold out, which means it was a pre-order miner.
Its release date is marked as March 2021, with no information on the weight. The dimensions are 264x200x290mm. We also don’t know about the chip count or chipboards available on the platform. From the look of things, the manufacturer was planning only to sell a few units.
And this makes it hard for anyone to get a hold of the miner. The question remains whether the miner is profitable or not. From the look of things, the miner is estimated to be a profitable unit.
In regards to mining pools, there are no mining pools that have this unit. Until the unit is released, we expect mining pools to create space for this miner.
Eaglesong is the hashing function for Nervos and uses the proof-of-work idealism. The algorithm is suitable where a secure hashing algorithm is needed. It means that the algorithm is secure and does protect users from the 51 percent attack.
Although Eaglesong does have some vulnerability, it’s not as risky as other hashing algorithms. It comes with the multi-target one-wayness proof of work puzzle solver.
We did a deeper digging and found no information on the efficiency of the miner. What we have is a miner with a rough efficiency of 12T/2400W. The maximum power consumption is 2400W, which shows high efficiency.
Efficiency in miners brings more mining power to the table. The higher the power consumption, the more efficiency you get in a miner. Manufacturers should be open and clear on the efficiency of their products. This is a first from the Goldshell Company.
